The World Post & Parcel Awards has attracted submissions from some of the biggest names in the mail and express industry. Below is a list of our winners from the 2017 Awards Ceremony in Paris.

Judges’ Statement – What was particularly noteworthy amongst this year’s shortlist was the emphasis on social care, on helping and engaging with people. The winner was chosen because of the breadth and diversity of its programme.

Cross Border Growth


for its outbound US cross border parcels growth

Judges’ Statement – This entry showed that with a clear customer focused approach to cross border, identifying the factors that matter to customers and focusing on driving up perform in the areas that matter, it is possible to deliver significant commercial benefits.

Customer Service


for its network transformation

Judges’ Statement – Massive long-term transformation of this company began in 2012 has seen migration of branches (and some employees) to privately-owned stores, longer opening hours (often 6am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and 8am to 10pm Sunday), reduced costs, and improved customer satisfaction. Customer waiting times are often below one minute. 99.7% of population resides within 3 miles of a post office.

Judges’ Statement – This project may not offer new technology and is a niche specialisation but the rapid execution of an impressive 30 minute delivery window solution in an area that has long caused customer pain impressed the judges. A mission incorporating choice, convenience and certainty also chimes well with customer demand and the whole package is backed up by very strong and tangible business results.

Judges’ Statement – This entry showed that by combining the ease of digital access with the power of physical mail, direct mail has a future in our increasingly digital world. Their proposition provides organisations of any size with access to an online, self service, geo-targeted precision marketing tool that allows them to grow their business through mail marketing.

Judges’ Statement – The Innovation Award is for business ideas with significant potential. What caught the judges’ eyes for this year’s winner was the way a range of familiar business aids and technologies have been combined to provide a service that promotes and adds value to business communications and that is helping to keep mail relevant.


People Management


for its NAVe Informa Project

Judges’ Statement – Our winner’s proposition has shown organisations how to effectively connect their Executive Team and Board to front line staff that are dispersed geographically, making them feel more connected to the organisation and ensuring they get the information that matters.

Retail Customer Access


for its SAM Omni-Channel Platform

Judges’ Statement -This company recognised the need to develop a digital network to cater to the next generation of customers who demand digital solutions. Their platform enables their customers to access solutions from anywhere, reduce wait times for customers who prefer an in store experience and provide impressive solutions resulting in increased customer loyalty.



for its end-to-end mobility solution

Judges’ Statement – In the Technology Award judges were looking for entries that can generate measurable and meaningful change, whether in productivity, business processes, or business models. The winner was selected in a close contest and it reflects the vitality today of e-commerce. The entry itself was impressive in its clarity and explanation, covering e-commerce from first to last mile.

Industry Leadership Award:


Philippe Wahl for his leadership of Le Groupe La Poste

Judges’ Statement – We are delighted to honour Philippe Wahl, President and CEO of Le Groupe La Poste. He has conducted the biggest transformation programme in the company’s history, changing the organisation from a mail-led company to a successful logistics and financial services business, while engaging individual customers, corporate partners and, importantly, employees. With a clear vision over at least the next five years to take Le Groupe La Poste forward through the challenges of a traditional mail business, this year’s award has been awarded to an executive well worthy of the 2017 title.
